For many years, we have launched our Dinners in the Field seasons at the historic, Barn Kestrel. We were bummed to have to postpone this tradition, but are even more excited to host our first ever Halloween Dinner in the Field. This beautiful barn was built in 1900 and is one of the best preserved barns in Clackamas County and one of America’s finest. Surrounding the barn is a beautiful queen Victorian home, fields filled with grazing horses and a variety of gardens. No matter the Oregon weather, we will be safe and cozy at the extraordinary venue. Joining our dinner will be Westward Whiskey and Owen Roe Wines.
Westward Whiskey is inspired by the unparalleled culture, climate, natural ingredients and people of the American Northwest. We set out to make a whiskey of the elements- distinct, rich, brazen and full of flavor. Portland’s homegrown whiskey is balanced and bold, with just the right amount of spice and sweetness. Double Gold winner at San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the highest-rated American Single Malt.
The 6-7 course menu of farm fresh ingredients will be joined with the memorable wines from Owen Roe, who proudly makes wines from superior Northwest sites where the fruit ripens slowly and fully, resulting in excellent acidity and balance that makes them so food friendly. Chef Pascal looks forward to working with each of these producers, tastefully crafting his menu to capture the essence of the wines and cocktails along with the magic of the season.
